Villa Alicante

The villa is set on a terraced hillside above Altea, among pines, bougainvillea and low walls of stone. The old town sits below, with its white houses and blue-tiled dome, and the sea fills the space beyond. The pool is on the lower terrace, sheltered by a wall, and the garden steps down toward the bay in narrow flights.

The house is white with dark wood shutters and a broad covered terrace along the front. Inside, the living room has a tiled floor, a long sofa and a fireplace at one end; the kitchen opens to the dining terrace. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms are on two levels, and the upper floor has its own small sitting room and terrace, useful for two families.
