The apartment is on the second floor of an early-20th-century building in Indautxu, with a facade of pale stone, a broad entrance and a lift. The street is wide and lined with plane trees, and the bay windows of the living room look along it toward the river. The Guggenheim, the fine arts museum and the market at La Ribera are within walking distance.

Inside, the rooms keep their original scale: high ceilings with moulded cornices, dark wood floors and tall double doors between the salon and the dining room. A piano stands in one corner, and a pair of green velvet armchairs face the windows. The kitchen is separate and practical, with a small table. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms sit at the back, one facing the interior courtyard.
