Casa Formentera

The house is a short walk from the beach at Es Pujols, at the end of a sandy lane lined with juniper and pine. It is small and white, with a flat roof, a blue door and a porch shaded by a reed awning. The island is flat here, and bicycles are the usual way to move between the village, the beach and the salt flats. There are few cars on the lane.

Inside, the rooms are simple and white, with tiled floors and windows on two sides. The living room has a built-in bench, a small table and a kitchen along one wall. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are at the back, one with a door to the garden. The porch holds a table and chairs, and the outdoor shower is used from morning until evening.
